Program Description

The Bachelor of Science in Business/Retail Management (BSB/RM) program is designed to prepare graduates with the requisite knowledge, skills, and values to effectively apply various business principles and tools in an organizational setting. The BSB/RM major focuses the student on the retail management environment. The program emphasizes skill development in strategic management, marketing, supply management, product and brand management, retail operations, merchandising, and personnel management that are unique to the retail industry.

The Required Course of Study is designed to enable graduates to deal effectively with an increasingly complex business environment. The program stresses skill development in the areas of management, decision-making, financial accounting and managerial finance, quantitative analysis, economics, marketing and utilization of research findings.

This undergraduate degree program has a 60-credit Required Course of Study: 39 credits are allocated to the Bachelor of Science in Business/Retail Management Major, 18 credits to business entry coursework, and 3 credits to the integrating course. Some courses have prerequisite requirements.
